Bermuda Squares: Outsider [Feel It]

Outsider is a remarkable debut album for Bermuda Squares, and even though they’re a newer group, that’s not much of a surprise. The Minneapolis punk band features members of Citric Dummies, Neo Neos, Green/Blue, Dummy, and more, so the pedigree is absolutely in place on paper. The proof is in the record. A killer guitar solo and harmony vocals pile on top of a fuzzy and fast power chord chug. There’s bite, and it’s carried by strong songcraft and musicianship. It’s power pop that’s heavy on the power and rarely lets up on the gas—an absolute romp.
