Miracle Debt: Under the Shadow [Salinas]
At a show several days back, I was telling Zac from Texture Freq, Panel, and Visual Learner how much I was looking forward to this new Miracle Debt record, largely on the back of Salinas’ catalog and reputation. He called Miracle Debt “probably the best songwriter rock band in Minneapolis right now,” and after listening to Under the Shadow, I totally believe him. A ready-for-autumn rock’n’roll comfort record with plenty of edge. It’s got catchy-as-shit sing-along hooks. I’d very much like to get my hands on the lyric sheet and dig in even more, but the first spins have been so rewarding without it. I anticipate taking it on a lot of walks as the weather keeps taking a dive.
