Hey, it’s a very brief and very free installment of the Punk This Week column. We’ll be back in full swing with traditional installments in 2026\. Today, I’m just going to briefly run down what’s been good here in the final full week of the year.

Traditionally, this recommendations column is about 2,000 words long and only available in full to those who [subscribe](https://see-saw.fun/punk-this-week-coffer-cartoon-guitar-wolf-more/#/portal/) for $4/month, $40/year, or [barter](https://see-saw.fun/bartering/) (hit me up). [Punk This Week](https://see-saw.fun/tag/punk-this-week/), [bonus podcasts](https://see-saw.fun/tag/jukebox/), and the full [see/saw radio archive](https://see-saw.fun/see-saw-radio/) are what’s behind the paywall. There’s free stuff, too, if you want to subscribe for free. There are no wrong answers!

Grab your copy of [see/saw’s just-released newsprint broadsheet with the top 54 punk + rock'n'roll records of 2025](https://see-saw.fun/see-saws-top-54-punk-rocknroll-records-of-2025-a-zine/) while I still have copies. Grab your nearest and dearest a [gift subscription](https://see-saw.fun/gift-subscription/) to see/saw. Thanks for supporting see/saw this year; it’s meant the world.

The best new record out on Christmas week is the self-titled debut EP from [the Clubs](https://nofusstapes.bandcamp.com/album/the-clubs-s-t?ref=see-saw.fun), a power pop band featuring members of Les Lullies, Slander Tongue, and Klavo. Chicago’s [Autofill](https://autofill.bandcamp.com/album/git-yr-fill?utm%5Fsource=album%5Frelease&utm%5Fmedium=email&utm%5Fcontent=fanpub%5Ffnb&utm%5Fcampaign=autofill%2Balbum%2Bgit-yr-fill) dropped a new one called *Get Yr Fill*. Power Pants closes out 2026 with [*PP13*](https://punkvalleyrecords.bandcamp.com/album/pp13?utm%5Fsource=album%5Frelease&utm%5Fmedium=email&utm%5Fcontent=fanpub%5Ffb&utm%5Fcampaign=punkvalleyrecords%2Balbum%2Bpp13). I’m a little late to it, but I’m really enjoying the garage punks [Outsider](https://outsider10.bandcamp.com/album/2025-tape?ref=see-saw.fun) from Bloomington.

Standout Oregon punks [Happy Death Men](https://theehappydeathmen.bandcamp.com/album/candyasschucklefucks?ref=see-saw.fun) and [Keddies Resort](https://keddiesresort777.bandcamp.com/music?ref=see-saw.fun) have a new split. Melbourne’s [Pleasers A.D.](https://pleasersadhd.bandcamp.com/album/live-at-the-old-bar?utm%5Fsource=album%5Frelease&utm%5Fmedium=email&utm%5Fcontent=fanpub%5Ffnb&utm%5Fcampaign=pleasersadhd%2Balbum%2Blive-at-the-old-bar) have a live record recorded at the Old Bar. I love the crunchy and noodly electro punk of the new [GR3YBOY](https://itsfuckingmango.bandcamp.com/album/dolor-amoris?utm%5Fsource=album%5Frelease&utm%5Fmedium=email&utm%5Fcontent=fanpub%5Ffnb&utm%5Fcampaign=itsfuckingmango%2Balbum%2Bdolor-amoris). The California garage rockers Ideal Body have two new ones called “[Preppers](https://idealbody.bandcamp.com/track/preppers?ref=see-saw.fun)” and “[Scales](https://idealbody.bandcamp.com/track/scales?ref=see-saw.fun).” There’s an excellent loosie from Italy’s [Dirty Job](https://dirtyjob.bandcamp.com/track/siamo-colpevoli?ref=see-saw.fun) and some great preview tracks from the new album from Philadelphia’s [Raw Honey](https://rawhoneyworld.bandcamp.com/album/everybody-leaves?ref=see-saw.fun).

Y’all listen to that Sheer Mag side project the [Seely Jurgens Band](https://seelyjurgensband.bandcamp.com/album/you-were-you-still-b-w-take-me-there?ref=see-saw.fun)? They’ve got a buttery new single. If you’re feeling sad looking at the Christmas tree, try [Shrudd’s covers](https://shrudd.bandcamp.com/album/white-christmas-have-yourself-a-merry-little-christmas?ref=see-saw.fun) of some Christmas standards. Shout out Sweden’s [Nervous B.O.](https://nervousbo.bandcamp.com/album/snooze-til-i-die-soft-hits?ref=see-saw.fun) [Evil Weevil](https://evilweevil.bandcamp.com/album/buzzing-of-the-flies?ref=see-saw.fun) are back and still sound both very evil and significantly weevil. Boston’s [Muck & the Mires](https://rumbarrecords.bandcamp.com/album/tripping-out-on-love-rogue-records?ref=see-saw.fun) offer a new 45 of throwback garage rock.

On the hardcore and grind front: Detroit’s [Bad Beat](https://totalsupply.bandcamp.com/album/tsr-025-ep-2025?ref=see-saw.fun), Columbus’ [OCRAM](https://ocramhc.bandcamp.com/album/demo?ref=see-saw.fun), the Southern California band [Crutch of Society](https://emotionlessthecitylies.bandcamp.com/album/crutch-of-society-demo?ref=see-saw.fun), Indonesia’s [WORSE](https://districtsixrecs.bandcamp.com/album/dsr020-br026-worse-messed-up-ep?ref=see-saw.fun) and [Bottled Violent](https://bottledviolent.bandcamp.com/album/im-not-blind?ref=see-saw.fun), Las Vegas’ [Life’s Torment](https://phagetapes.bandcamp.com/album/an-abomination-of-collective-ideologies?ref=see-saw.fun), Texans [UnfortunateTX](https://unfortunatetx.bandcamp.com/album/tony-ferrer?utm%5Fsource=album%5Frelease&utm%5Fmedium=email&utm%5Fcontent=fanpub%5Ffb&utm%5Fcampaign=unfortunatetx%2Balbum%2Btony-ferrer), South Dakota’s [Carrion Crawlers](https://carrioncrawlers.bandcamp.com/track/resmurs?ref=see-saw.fun), and Charlotte’s [fixations](https://getfixxedidiot.bandcamp.com/album/try-less?ref=see-saw.fun).

That’s it for now! If you want more, go listen to the [playlist of my favorite punk songs of 2025](https://see-saw.fun/best-of-2025-playlist-103-favorite-punk-songs/). Happy Boxing Day/Jumbo’s Night.
