# playlist: the best punk songs of july 2025

I used to do these playlists every month—a collection of songs with a short blog about how it’s going—and then I got a day job. For some reason, playlists were the thing that started to fall through the cracks. Sorry about that. I did a make-good for the [first six months of the year](https://see-saw.fun/playlist-the-best-punk-songs-of-2025-so-far/), and now let’s pick up with July.

As for how it’s going, I’ve been harvesting berries, basil, kale, cucumbers, and potatoes in the backyard. The wildflower seed mix we tossed around over bare soil during lockdown has finally exploded into color years later. I’m in full toddler father mode, impersonating animals and talking way too much about the toilet. I threw a couple deeply sick punk shows and have been spending time with the extended fam.

This is the 200th post I’ve ever done. see/saw recently hit a milestone of 2,500+ overall subscribers and 500+ paid. That’s double where it was one year ago. As an art practice and niche music journalism/criticism endeavor, that’s pretty unreal and I’m incredibly humbled by the support. 

I’d still love for more people to keep finding it.
